A great read. What are your thoughts on the potential long-term effects of the vaccines? Currently, the public discussion focuses on what happens in the minutes, weeks, and months after getting vaccinated, and I'm seeing little discussion about the risk of clotting and other negative health effects two, five, and ten years out.

Any of those things are certainly possible. Generally, I'd assume the further you get away from the time of the vaccination (a one-time event), the more remote the probability it causes a long-term problem if it doesn't cause a short-term problem. I can't think of an example where a long-term effect works like that, except perhaps cigarette smoking. But, that behavior is repeated for decades before cancer often emerges. Someone who smokes for six weeks and stops is unlikely to see any ill effect long-term.
